Gloucester, MA based English teacher Michael Telles has been on the Subjangle roster for several years now (previously as Night Heron before someone became a bit "copyrighty" on him as he began to garner popularity), releasing three critically acclaimed albums since May 2020 that have tended to sweep up his wonderfully frequent EPs onto compilations so that his increasingly adoring fanbase have his music on physical format.

His jangly, pastoral, orchestral, and hauntingly monasterial (I think I have used up my list of "als" now) indie folk is forever blessed with a sense of sprightly autumnal dank and gasps with a hushed serenity that only true beauty can evoke.

Unassuming to a beguiling fault, Telles had decided to call this 9-track release an EP and seemed somewhat bemused why Subjangle would pester him to allow us to release it as a stand alone release.

However, with one listen of Cherry Street, those of us who are in the know regarding this artiste will be reminded of just what a special act he is, and the fact that he has added an extra four tracks to the digital only version that was released in October 2022 would seem to suggest he has warmed to the idea.
